Fresh Tactics

When I get an email that the Exquisite Bastard has posted on twomendying.com I never see it correctly. One time I thought the domain name was womenDying and today I thought it said twoMenCrying! It seems ages since we first talked about this blog and altho only a fraction of our discoveries have been documented here it is still exciting to see it thriving in secrecy.   I have spent a lot of time exercising lately to bring my lung function up to comfortable, since starting to swim again it jumped from 52% to 64% within a month. In that time I have pondered the death of breath. How does it end? Why would it stop? Does cancer fill his cup like mucus and infection fill mine? It seems a fight against infection and making some breathing room. I guess my question is.. would swimming help lung cancer like it helps cystic fibrosis? Who starts a blog just to ask questions? I guess I do, after an hour of reading about lung cancer I made myself stop after noticing I was reading from the Ladies Home Journal.ha.  I know I’m not the first to scour google for a herb or an exercise to give us another summer or time for another adventure. It seems the world is not sure how to slow the growth of bad cells while generating the stem cells it takes to repair them. I have a doctor buddy who is an Optimal Health Specialist & Brain Surgeon from New York who can help us. We should kill a bottle of wine with ole Jack, he is truly one of a kind. JackKruse.com

  1. Is this a blast or what? People need a goal to drive them on, give them meaning to their lives. We must find a way to live longer. Our goal is to have another summer, how do you tell thoses with endless summers just to live. They made a goal, they scored, they live. They who have so much of what is so valuable have no idea of its value.

  2. Time I enjoy wasting is never wasted time. Tonight being the time keeper has new meaning. It is not the perception of having more time than my brethren. It is in how I park time among my flock. The answer is that none of us is on a short string in life. We are fully helpless in the face of our first impressions of others keeping time. Quality of our time remaining always trumps the amount of time we have remaining. Tonight I met many men dying. Many more than bare their stories here. This is a hidden cave for men dying. In death we can live a full life. Our perceptions may bubble up from our unconscious from behind a locked door inside of our thoughts. My perception of time has now changed. It is no longer how I apply it to my demise, but how I apply the concept of time to others. This is the true value of the “time keeper”. You never know who the wizard is behind the door is until you meet them face to face. In my time of dying I met such a man. The irony of “time” is just because something is outside of present awareness doesn’t mean it’s outside of ultimate control. Who controls time? Is it you, or is it your “time keeper”? Ordinary people think merely of spending time. Extraordinary people think of using that time exquisitely. How we use time is quite individual. It is akin to how we use a lover. Do we fuck or do we make love? How do we choose to live the life we are given? The key is in not spending time, but in investing it in your life’s passion. If you invest wisely, the time keeper will likely give you more. What becomes of those who waste time……..??? We can never let the time keep sense that we use of tomorrow for today, lest he take away the present we have remaining. Lost time is never recycled. Time is the one asset we can lose. Therefore, we should spend it carefully. The irony of life is that we don’t follow this precept. If you want to change the world perception of time you think this is a big task. Is it fundamentally? No it is not. Why not? If you want to change a man’s mind, you have to change the mind of the man next to him first. Our time is what we do to the people closest to us. It’s not hard to make decisions on time when you know what your values are. The question is, when you are at that time in your life……..are you ready to make that determination? Who determines time for us, for you. On the surface, you think that answer is easy, yet, it is not. I make that decision more often than you might imagine. We all make choices in our life, but in the end, our choices are what make us. The time you make those decisions is determined by the environment you emant from. When you are viewed as the time manager, courage doesn’t happen when you appear to have all the answers for the crowd in front of you at 2 AM. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life as you enter the coda of the symphony of your work. what I learned tonight is that we may delay time, but time will not allow us to delay. What was the take home tonight? Write it. Shoot it. Publish it. Crochet it, sauté it, whatever the fuck it is you do, just create it. Leave nothing to the imagination of the future. Our past is always tense, and our future always perfect because we make it in the present. Our flaw in or human character is that everybody wants to build themselves up but nobody wants to do maintenance. Maintenance is a fiction of time and as the “keeper of time” I have a duty to uphold. Tonight “try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. an alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out.” The time keeper can slow the hemorrhage. —-Time Keeper

  3. when i think of time running out i think that we are running out of new experiences, its not that the life lived was not enough, it was plenty, all the places and people, the adventure of doing crazy things severl times a year for as far back as a life time. The things we did in those places. im ok with no new experiences, im still decompressing from the last one.
